A beautiful morning on the gallops, and we gave 'Digger gets Lucky' and 'Christopher Wren' a school. We are praying for rain this week and have a number of horses entered at Fontwell, Aintree, Chepstow and Stratford. Monday kicks of with the Moorcroft Day at Plumpton, but unfortunately we have nothing to run because of the ground, it is going to be just too firm. It is such a shame because the last four years we have had winners on this day.
Thank you to everyone for their good wishes for Josh, it is a very slow process, but he is making good progress. So with everyones prayers, love and best wishes, he will continue to get better.
We need four more people to get the racing club started initially with two horses. So if any of you fancy joining, click on the racing club section and get in touch soon.

For a change of scenery and good gallop, we took eight of our horses in the lorry to Lady Herries gallops in Angmering Park. For the horses it's a bit like going to the races, they get on the lorry and go somewhere new for a real gallop. It was an absolutely beautiful morning, and the horses did not disappoint.
June 30th Preparing for the New Season and some New horses in the yard
It's an exciting time of year, all the stables have been freshly painted, most of the horses and staff are taking a well earned break and we have a few youngsters in the yard being broken in. Of course it's time to buy some new horses as well in preparation for the exciting season ahead.
Last week Nick and Josh went to Ireland, to the sales where they bought two really nice three year olds to be sold in the yard. Please see the For Sale section. One horse by Catcher in the Rye, a chaser in the making, closely related to Bradbury Star. The second one by Vinnie Roe ( 4 times winner of the St Ledger ) a sharper individual, who's two half brothers are both winners on the flat. Cheltenham , Festival Winner 'Gainsay' is also in the pedigree.
Today Nick is on his way back from France having purchased two exciting French horses, for current owners, so there is a lot to look forward to for the coming season.
Trainer Gifford wishes good luck to his horse Royal Wedding

The heavily backed gelding Royal Wedding delighted punters by winning the Crabbie's Chase at Fontwell Park.
At the West Sussex track's Royal Wedding Race Night on Friday, the nine-year-old, who won at the course in February, came in at 4-1.
The son of King's Best and grandson of Blushing Groom, Royal Wedding is owned by Sussex County Cricket Club chairman Don Trangmar.
Coral's David Stevens agreed and said: "Thousands of people placed bets on Royal Wedding, and the bookies will be paying out millions as a result.
"On the day Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot, there was only going to be one winner of the race, and Royal Wedding didn't let the side down, becoming the most aptly-named winner since Party Politics won the Grand National just five days before the 1992 General Election," he said.
The Nick Gifford-trained Royal Wedding was in front from some way out but began to toil over the last three fences, making a notable slip at the second-last.
However, he dug deep after the last and, with jockey Liam Treadwell, negotiated the climb to the line to repel Take A Mile by 12 lengths.
"I'm delighted and a bit relieved he won after we've had so much publicity," said Gifford, who trains at nearby Findon.
"We just didn't want him to do anything stupid like fall at the first or anything like that.

After Cheltenham.......
Tullamore Dew ran a blinder to finish third at Cheltenham in the Novices'Handicap Chase, he really stuck is neck out and galloped to the line. We had a few disappointments with Nomecheki who hit the first fence very hard and Dee EE Williams and Straw Bear. However they are all back safe and sound and we will return with all guns blazing for next year.
Some great news that the yard has bounced back to top form with a win and second place at Exeter yesterday. 'Theophrastus', owned by the 'Core Strength' partnership won in emphatic style and Pasha Bere owned by Mark Tracey finished a Gallant second. So the yard and staff and horses all have a Spring in their step ready for Aintree.....
A double at Folkestone!! And less than a week until the festival!!!
What a fabulous day with a winning double at Folkestone. Liam Treadwell rode ‘Neil Harvey ‘ owned by Paul Beck to victory in a chase and then followed that up with another win on Theophrastus owned by the core strength partnership, a perfect close to the week.
With Less than 5 Days until Cheltenham, nerves are running high! Our four runners are Tullymore Dew, Dee.E.Williams, Straw Bear and Nomecheki .....fingers crossed. They all did their final gallop last Wednesday and will be schooled for the last time before they run his week. They are all in great form and the ground should suit them.
As each day gets closer the nerves and buzz in the yard increases!!!
