A beautiful Spring day in Sussex , the sun is shining all the daffodils are out and the future is bright. Early this morning we head to Uttoxeter a nearly four hour drive in search of the soft/heavy ground.

Aworkinprogress heads up for the 3:00 Uttoxeter 14 MAR 2026 ITV44m2f (4m2f8y) JenningsBet Midlands Grand National (Handicap Chase) (Premier Handicap) (GBB Race) (Class 1)(5yo+). Sixteen runners go to post , the ground is given as soft. The softer more testing the better for our horse he is on great form. However today is a step up in class and trip, so we will see how he copes. He is on great form at home, he certainly keeps Hannah who ride shim every day on her toes.

Good Luck to the great man and all connections and Team Gifford. Head girl Kirsty Huff will be leading him up today and Cava also has a fan club turning up. Harry who used to ride him everyday and has moved to Worcester and loves this horse so much and his partner Elis will be cheering him on too !! James Davies takes the reins as usual.
