Today we had our open day as part of National Racehorse Week , the sun was shining and we had a fabulous turnout. Our jockeys, James Davies, Tabitha Worsley and Niall Houlihan all came down to support our day. A great open day for #NationalRacehorseWeek#LoveTheRacehorse. We watched the horses on the gallops, we had demos from Shakura Sports Massage, our farrier explaining what is involved in shoeing a racehorse and keeping their feet in top top condition. We also had our Equine dentist, Chris Warren in giving a talk and demonstration on keeping the horses teeth in tip top condition. A very informative morning and a real chance to see what happens behind the scenes of a racing yard. To finish off, refreshments and lots and lots of Cake !! All homemade by the team . Tomorrow we have one runner at Plumpton. Zuba will be ridden by James Davies in the 2.40pm Handicap Hurdle. 5 runners go to post, it is his first run in a handicap, so it will be very interesting to see where we are with him. he is on good form at home, so we are looking forward to seeing him run,
