A great day was has by all at "The Bob Champion Charity Raceday" at Plumpton , the marquee was full and buzzing and lots of money raised with a fabulous auction and silent auction. We had three tables of lovely owners, it is always a great fun day with the Shetland pony race too.
We had two runners "Eliza Dolittle" owned my Mr Mike O'Shea ran and absolute cracker to finish 3rd in the 2:15Plumpton 23 Oct 2023 Trottenden Sussex Cattle Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race)(Class 4) (4yo+) (1m7f195yds) 2m Good To Soft 9 hurdles. She is very much still learning the game and yesterday was all about a clean round of jumping. She showed an excellent attitude and we are going to have so much fun with her !! So well done to Mike and Angela .
Then we had Fairway Freddy who ran in the 3:45Plumpton 23 Oct 2023Nick Embiricos Memorial Handicap Chase(Class 3) (0-130, 4yo+) (2m3f164yds) 2m3½f Good To Soft 14 fencesfound the contest a little too hot yesterday. He still ran as he always does with a big heart, he also would have preferred better ground , but the main thing is he is absolutely fine. He is a little star on the yard and will be back to winning ways in a slightly lower grade race.
