October 5th Stable News

Autumn is here , what a wild few days of weather we have had. Fairway Freddy was down to go to Fontwell on Saturday just gone , but the rain that arrived was biblical !! so we pulled him out.

the exciting time at the start of the season when all our dreams are still intact. the yard is buzzing and we have some lovely new additions to our team both human and horse.

Yesterday Paddys Poem returned after his summer break and pre training at home. He looks fantastic and we are very excited about this season with him. Arthur also arrived yesterday who is a stunning Grey 4 year old by "Ask" . Currently unnamed. paddy's owner bred both of them and we can't wait to see how Arthur settles and progresses.

Today we have one runner at Huntingdon "Follow Intello" AKA "Ian " has his first run in a hurdle race. We have really taken our time with schooling him, as he is quite an untrusting horse and was a bit cautious of jumping at first. George one of our event riders took him loose schooling over show jumps to get his confidence and then jumped him in the school. He has now schooled a lot over the summer with the jockeys and has grown and grown in confidence. So today is about Ian getting round and having a good clear round and hopefully enjoying it. He has only up to this point run on the flat ( dual winner), so its a big step in his education. There are only 5 runners which is a great place to start as hopefully there will not be too much hustle and bustle. Andrew Veale our Travelling head lad and Kirsty Huff have taken Ian to the races with his companion "Patch ' the pony. Kirsty rides and looks after Ian. Good Luck to all connections "Findon Flyers " and Team Gifford and Good Luck Ian. Patch will be waiting for you at the end.
