December has been a busy and encouraging month so far for Team Gifford.. Several runners have shown promise despite facing tough conditions and strong competition. Low Expectation winning for the third time in a row on the 1st December. Koenigsstern’s solid seasonal return, and the impressive debuts of Hello Fortune at Lingfield and a promising 3rd place for Touqet at Lingfield, the stable is continuing to build momentum. The Owners and team can take pride in these performances, which hint at exciting prospects for the months ahead.
Liv's Lad and Grand Sabre Faced Tough Challenges Early in December
Livy's Lad ran on 2nd December finishing 5th, he actually ran well just got tired in the closing stages, he has run up a bit light so wull get a break and freshen him up a bit.
Two days later, on 4th December, Grand Sabre faced similar conditions. he actually ran well just got tired in the closing stages, its difficult to find his ground
Aworkinprogress Shows Grit Despite Conditions
On 6th December, Aworkinprogress took to the track. The ground conditions did not suit which showed in the time of the race , being more like good to soft than preferred soft/heavy. The step up in class was noticeable, and he was just always out of his comfort zone.
Koenigsstern’s Return Marks a Positive Step
Koenigsstern made his first run of the season on 8th December. This outing was a pleasing second-place finish that helped blow the cobwebs away after the break. The horse showed good fitness and race sharpness, which bodes well for the coming season. Koenigsstern’s performance was a highlight of the month and a sign that the stable’s preparation is on track.
Impressive Debuts from Hello Fortune and another great run from Touquet at Lingfield
December also an exciting debut performance at Lingfield. Hello Fortune ran a cracker of a race to finish second on his first outing. The horse showed promise and composure beyond his experience, suggesting a bright future ahead.
Touqet also impressed by finishing third on the same day.
