I am actually very pleased with both runners today. Coral Lad as I have always said is a big chaser type and as he gets fitter and stronger will want further and fences . The ground was very testing and they went a sensible pace which suited him . His jumping has really improved and he travelled well throughout the race to finish 5th of 10 . He is learning to race and getting stronger. I would like to mention a special thank you to Melissa from Shakura Sports Massage who has done a brilliant job with him .
Delta Rose was unlucky to fall at the second last in her race and seems absolutely fine . It was just a tired fall . Super chuffed with her run . She was put in the first division of this maiden hurdle which was a much stronger division and run at a much stronger pace . It will be interesting to see the times . Having not run since March 2019 , she was putting in a great effort and we are all very proud of her . She is tough and I am sure will come out of the race fine. A bit more schooling and she will be back out again soon .
Huge well done to Andrew and Ella . Delta Rose won best turned out . Both horses looked fantastic and lots of positives to take out of both performances . These are two horses that are been trained for the longer game . Both still learning and green.
