Newbury Thursday Review A bit behind on our write ups but on Thursday we took Belargus and Grand Sabre to Newbury.
Belargus now he’s a bit older just needed the run , he could still do with tightening up a bit , but we were really pleased with how he jumped , he just got a bit tired .
Grand Sabre ran in the first division of the bumper . He ran an absolute blinder , a huge improvement from his first start last season ( hands up we should not have ran him , he was still weak) , Niall gave him a brilliant ride in what looks to be a very strong bumper .
Interestingly on paper the second division looked stronger with some very expensive horses , however the first division was quicker by 9 seconds ! Which is quite a few lengths ! Grand Sabre is owned by Graeme and Yvonne Brooks who’s business Avtrade Ltd are our yard sponsors!
Grand Sabre has certainly strengthened up and is still not the finished article !
