So yesterday "The Mighty Don" ran a very pleasing solid race in the National Hunt Chase at The Cheltenham Festival. He jumped really well and just didn't quite see the trip out. He made a tired bunny hop over the last and plugged on. He has come out of his race a little bit stiff and sore to be expected and will enjoy a few quiet days at home.
On Monday Mystic Dreamer ran at Plumpton and didn't jump with her usual fluency, she has come out of the race a little lame , we will get her back to her best very soon. She has been seen by the vet and will have a few quiet days.
Today we have "Delta Rose" running in the 2:55 Huntingdon 17 MAR 2021 RTV
2m (1m7f171y) MansionBet Faller Insurance Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race) (Class 4) (4yo+.) . Delta Rose will be ridden by James Davie and is owned by Mr Jeremy Hulme. It looks an interesting race with some highly rated flat horses in that could be anything. We are looking for a good round of jumping and a positive run. After today she will get a handicap mark and we will look for some mares races too. Delta Rose is a lovely filly who Ella Bibi Rohman rides and cares for at home. Ella will be leading her up today with Andrew Veale our travelling head lad. Good Luck to Jeremy and Team Gifford.
Tomorrow we are back to Cheltenham with Paddy Poem who is owned by Mrs T. Brown and runs in the 3.40 Paddy Power Plate with James Davies on board.
