Wishing each and everyone of you a very Happy and Healthy New Year. 2021 has been tough for so many people, I thought we would have seen the back of Covid by now but it is as rife as ever.
yesterday our two runners got stuck in the mud ! However both are safe home and tucked up in their boxes, none the worse for wear. We will await better ground for Both Jungle prose and Kilfords Queen. JP lost a shoe . Kilfords Queen travelled very well throughout and then just got very tired in the closing stages.
Today we have three runners. The first of our runners is "River Tyne" who ran very well on her debut for us at Lingfield jumping well and just getting tired. She is still young and learning the game, so we are looking for a good round of jumping and staying on at the end. River Tyne runs in the 1:20 Fakenham 1 JAN 2022 2m (2m3y) Happy New Year Maiden Hurdle (Fakenham Double Up Bonus Race) (GBB Race) (Class 4) (4yo+). Tabitha Worsley takes the ride. Then we switch to The Mighty Don who runs at Cheltenham back over hurdles with James Davies on board. Donald runs in the 2:35 Cheltenham 1 JAN 2022 3m (2m7f213y) (New) Paddy Power Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race) (Class 2) (4yo+). The ground again will be softer than ideal for him, but he needs the run and he likes the track and he is in good form. Good Luck to The Golden Rose Partnership and Team Gifford. Last but not least we have Furia D'Oudairies running in the 3:05 Fakenham 1 JAN 2022 2m5f (2m5f44y) Become A Fakenham Racecourse Annual Member For 2022 Mares' Handicap Chase (Class 5)(5yo+ 0-100) with Niall Houlihan on board. Furia as we call her is on great form and ran a very respectable third last time out. Goof luck to Marion and John and Team Gifford.
