Well its getting very close to Christmas now, praying everyone gets to see their family and loved ones this year. It's hard to believe what is going on with this new variant.
I am very pleased with both of our runners from yesterday. A great debut from MISSFIT at Lingfield to finish third in the bumper, beaten only 3 1/4 lengths. She took up the lead after they came in to the home straight but the winner flew home with a wet sail and the second placed had the experience of two races and stayed on to pip us close home.
She was lovely and relaxed in the paddock, just taking everything in but not getting at all wound up and on the track, she settled nicely and in the main travelled well apart from the odd moment of greenness when she needed a little encouragement from James Davies. She is such a promising filly who we are going to have so much fun with .
Then we had KINGS KRACKERTARA running in the 2mile 3 maiden hurdle. She is getting great experience and her jumping is improving all the time. You will see the Best of big Daphne when she is chasing. She is a staying chaser and everything she does before that is a bonus. She is so honest and is crying out for a fence but just needs more racecourse experience. James loves her as do we.
Today we have two runners at Plumpton. First off, we have Rose of Aghaboe running for the " Rose Tinted Partnership" running in 3:05 Plumpton 21 DEC 2021 3m1½f (3m1f152y) G.E.White & Sons Agricultural Buildings Handicap Chase (Class 4) (4yo+ 0-115). 7 runners go to post, she is on good form but this is against the geldings and she is higher in the handicap now. One thing is for sure that she will do her best. She is such an honest tough filly and Tabitha Worsley takes a valuable 5lb of her back. Good luck to all connections.
Then we have "Sallyann" having her debut in the 3:35 Plumpton 21 DEC 2021
2m1½f (2m1f164y) Southern Events Rudolph Christmas Cup Open National Hunt Flat Race (Category 2 Elimination) (GBB) (Class 5) (4-5yo). Sallyann is a tough little filly, can be quite feisty so we are looking for a good introduction. She may be a bit green. Andrew Veale and Kirsty Huff will be leading up today. Good Luck to Sue and Nigel and Team Gifford. James Davies will be on board.
