3rd December - Stable News

Today we had two runners at Plumpton .

El Tornado had his second run over hurdles in the 12 .18 2mile hurdle at Plumpton . El Tornado is a big chaser type who is still very green/novicey . He is still learning to race . James Davies was very pleased with his jumping today and we have decided we need to step him up in trip so that he can continue to learn the game at a more suitable trip. He will stay hurdling this year to gain more experience before we go chasing next year . He is a lovely big horse who just needs more education.

Then we had “Itsnotwhatyouthink “ who ran in the 1.53 2mile 4 novice hurdle also at Plumpton . He jumped and travelled very well throughout the race . He just got caught a bit flat footed coming down the hill as the pace quickened. James Davies was very pleased with how he jumped and ran on to the line . By finishing third he has qualified for the EBF final which was the goal today ( to finish in the first 4) . James loves him and there is a lot to look forward to with him .

George Sturgis led the horses up today with travelling head lad Andrew Andrew Tony Veale. Both looked fantastic in the paddock , a credit to the team as always .
