Well it feels like winter again today after the lovely sunshine yesterday !! When will this end. The jockeys Tabitha Worsley and James Davies came in to school our horses over the jumps this morning and we had a great session. Rum Cove has been schooling over fences and he jumps beautifully so we will try him in a chase on Thursday at Huntigdon. He has been very backwards so far and we will make a decision after Thursday as to his future in racing. Fingers crossed fences will be his making as he is such a lovely horse.
Today we have one runner "Jasper Boy" runs in the 3:30 Kempton
6 MAY 2024 2m5f (Summer) Molson Coors Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race) (Class 4) (4yo+). Jasper Boy has been somewhat frustraiting to train, very backward and green and his last run was very dissapointing. He did run much better in his initial bumper. So we have no huge expectations today, but hope he shows enough to warrant him continuing in training. He is beautifully bred and looks the part, so now needs to show us something on the track. Jasper Boy is owned by The Nick Gifford Racing Club and will be ridden by Tabitha Worsley today. We have quite a busy week with three runners at Fontwell ( Aworkinprogress, Drishogue, River Tyne) on Wednesday evening and then Rum Cove goes to Huntingdon to make his debut over fences for the "Hope Springs Too Partnership" on Thursday.
