7th December - Evening Stable News

I am really pleased with both horses who ran at Plumpton today. Northern Poet ran a cracker to finish second at Plumpton . He is still a bit novicey with his jumping and although he coped with the ground .... it’s not his ground and was very hard work . He will be tired after this and will have a hot shower and quiet relaxing week. You can’t ask for more than that from a horse. Genuine, tough and honest . Well done to the owners and Team Gifford .

Also a really promising debut for Cobbs Corner in the bumper at Plumpton, also ridden by James Davies

. He showed guts and determination and just got tired in the last furlong on that ground . I think that was probably quite a smart bumper and “Bobby”will have learnt a lot today. It is always pleasing when the horses show great attitude and gallop all the way to the line . Can’t wait for his future . He finished 7th .

Huge thank you David Taylor for the photos .
