Twelve runners go to post and James Davies takes the ride . Northern Poet was disappointing last time out at Ascot but then was a bit quiet at home, so we had his bloods done and they were all wrong. So at the time we thought it was because of the ground, but actually he was not 100% . So we will learn a lot more today and see if he copes with the ground. Good Luck connections.

He is on great form at home, but today will be a whole new experience for him that we want him to enjoy and learn from. It is just the start of his education, the ground will be tiring , so fingers crossed he will have a positive experience and learn from today. There are horses with more experience in the race, so they will be at an advantage, having had a run and knowing what to expect.
