7th January - Stable News

So a chilli week in Findon but at least it is starting to dry up. A busy day planning tomorrow where we have 5 runners at Lingfield. Its great that Lingfield have put on an all Weather Jumper Bumpers day and not lost another meeting due to the ground/weather. It's a great opportunity to keep the horses running and for those who don't suit the winter ground at the moment.

Our first runner is Wee Rupert for The Blows Hot & Cold Syndicate. Rupert runs in the 3:20 Lingfield (AW) POLYTRACK 8 JAN 2021SKY 2m Sky Sports Racing On Virgin 535 "Jumpers' Bumper" National Hunt Flat Race (Class 4) (4yo+). Rupert will be ridden by James Davies and led up by Izzy Mills who rides him a lot at home. Rupert has had one run in a bumper at Ascot, where he had a hard race and was quite sore afterwards. He is now back on great form and we look forward to learning a lot more about him tomorrow.

Next we have "Rose of Aghaboe" for "The Rose Tinted Partnership". Rosie needs no introduction. She has won a bumper , A hurdle and a chase. She was amazing winning Nicks fathers memorial race at Plumpton which was a very memorable day. Rosie will be ridden by Tabitha Worlsey and should enjoy the ground.

We then have two runners in the 12:50 Lingfield (AW) POLYTRACK 8 JAN 2021SKY

2m Watch Sky Sports Racing In HD Mares' Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race (GBB Race) (Class 5) (4-6yo). Legendary Grace owned by Ron will be ridden by Tabitha Worsley. Tabs rode her at Newbury in December when she was second in a junior bumper. Then we also have Kadiyama for "The Lavender Chickens" , Kadiyama will be ridden by James Davies. She had one run in junior bumper on ground that she didn't relish at Warwick. So we are looking to build on that run and for her to continue to learn the game. She was very green on her first run.

Last but not least we have Northern Poet for the Hope Springs Syndicate. Northern Poet is doing hand stands at home and we need to run him, with the ground as it is, this is the perfect opportunity for him get out. He won his debut bumper at Lingfield so we know he likes the track.

He will be ridden by James Davies and led up by Izzy Mills who rides him most of the time at home. Izzy is very pleased he is running as he has been driving her mad at home !

Andrew Veale will be turning out the horses to perfection as always and will be very busy organising the runners tomorrow. Good Luck to all connections and Team Gifford.
