Stable News
Today we are on our way to Exeter in search of the good ground with two horses . Northern Poet runs in the 2pm 2mile 2f novice hurdle for “ The Hope Springs “ partnership and Jungle Prose runs in the 3pm 2mile 175y mares maiden hurdle for The Nick Gifford Racing Club .
James Davies rides both of them . They are on great form , Jungle Prose having her first run over hurdles and NP second run. So ultimately we are looking for them to have a clear round , settle and run positively . Both of them are by the stallion“ Yeats” and we bought them both on the same day at the Goffs Land Rover sales as three year olds .
They are both full of character . Travelling Head Lad Andrew Tony Veale and Geena Gover have taken them to the races and will be leading up today .
Izzy Mills rides Jungle Prose at home everyday and loves here quirky character . Northern Poet is ridden by a variety of our lads and is extremely cheeky too.
In other news “ Flibynight “ has been retired from racing and gone back to stud in Ireland . She is a beautifully bred filly who just was not settling in her races . We look forward to hearing news of her offspring in the future .
Tomorrow we head to Chepstow with “ The Mighty Don” and on Saturday back to Chepstow with Didtheyleaveyououtto.
Best of luck to all connections and the Gifford Racing Team of staff !
