Happy Easter !! A beautiful Spring day in Findon, West Sussex !
Today is an exceptionally busy Easter Sunday . We are heading to Plumpton with five runners !!
Our first runner is "Miss Get The Veuve" who runs in the 1:55 Plumpton 9 APR 2023 2m4½f (2m4f114y) Strong Flavours Catering Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) (4yo+ 0-100). She will be ridden by Ben Bromley, the ground and trip should suit her. So we are hopeful she can build on her previous runs. Missy will be led up by Hannah West who looks after her at home. Good Luck to Su and Team Gifford !!
Our second runner is Eliza Dolittle who runs in the 2m (1m7f195y) Tie The Knot Wedding Catering Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race) (Class 4) (4yo+) and will be ridden by James Davies. Today with Millie ( stable name) it is all about a clear round of jumping, she is quite a buzzy mare, still learning the game and needs to settle and jump well. Good Luck to Mr & Mrs O'shea and our team. Hannah West who rides and looks after Millie (stable name) at home will be leading up today.
Third we have Northern Poet running in the 3:40 Plumpton 9 APR 2023 3m1½f (3m1f152y) Celebrating 25 Years Of Racecourse Ownership Handicap Chase (Class 4) (5yo+ 0-110) with James Davies on board. Tom as we call him at home is on great form and will be led up my Izzy Mills today. We are looking for another good run from him. Good Luck to the owners Wilf, Jeremy, Howard, Deb and Mike !! The Hope Springs partnership !
Our fourth runner is Churchills Boy who runs in the 4:50 Plumpton 9 APR 2023 2m4½f (2m4f114y) William Hill Epic Value Novices' Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race) (Class 3) (4yo+ 0-125) with James Davies on board. Mike (stable name) as we call him at home is on great form, the ground should suit him and he has Won around this track before. Good Luck to owners Holly and lynne !! Izzy Mills who rides him at home will be leading him up today.
Last of all we have Kilfords Queen for the Nick Gifford racing club !!liz runs in the 5:25 Plumpton 9 APR 2023 2m3½f (2m3f164y) William Hill Pick Your Places Handicap Chase (Class 5) (5yo+ 0-105) Liz as we call her at home has been very disspointing/frustrating horse thus far. She has run over many different trips and on all different ground and struggles to stay/finish her races
. She has had her wind tested , every check going by the vet and nothing has come to light. Her last run at Plumpton was her best yet in that she galloped all the way to the line. So today we will see if she improves over a longer trip ( as they went to quick for her on her last run). If she disappoints today she will be retired from racing under rules and go to do a different job.....may be Point to Pointing where they go that bit slower as she is a brilliant jumper.
