Monday 29th January - Stable News

A very slow start to the year with the weather really against us. We lost so many meetings because of the freeze and then too much rain. We had Northern Poet and Jasper Boy entered at Fontwell yesterday but had to pull them out because of the ground.

Today we have Cobbs Corner at Plumpton in the 2:20, 29 JAN 2024 2m1f (2m214y) weatherbysshop.co.uk Novices' Handicap Chase (Class 5) (5yo+ 0-100). Ground is now good to soft , hopefully he will cope with it. Again he likes good ground, but Plumpton has an excellent drainage system and where it is dries out well. Good Luck to his owners Martin and Joanne and Team Gifford. We need some luck.

James Davies came in and schooled some of the youngsters today before heading off to Plumpton. Hannah West who rides and looks after Bobby will be leading him up today.
