Stable News 30th December 2020

We have had a quiet period over Christmas and Boxing Day . No runners on Boxing Day for the first time in 19years . Although only 3 meetings on rather than the usual 6 . We had entries for Fontwell of course on the Monday that was abandoned and so the story goes .

Yesterday the 29th December we had Mystic Dreamer for The Nick Gifford Racing Club who ran in the 2mile mares handicap hurdle race at Newbury with Tabitha Worsley on board . She ran a cracker to finish 3rd. We actually thought that it would be soft ground and quiet a test . The ground was actually beautiful ground and over that trip , Mystic does not quiet have the speed. Good ground suits her but she needs a longer trip . The race was won by a very well handicapped horse as I am sure time will tell .

Mystic Dreamer won best turned out and was led up by Chloe Whitelam who rides her at home and looks after her . Andrew Veale as always took Mystic to the races and turned her out to perfection.

The rest of this week is quiet but we have entries Saturday, Sunday and next week fingers crossed .

The horses are on good form as are our lovely team of staff .
